MY WRITING IS ME.

PROUD WORK
I am definitely most proud of my conflict analysis paper. I enjoy having fun and writing the conflict paper was fun. Usually writing feels like a boring process with an abundance of structure, but structure was not as necessary in this narrative. The lack of structure allowed for creativity to flow on to the page, and it allowed for my humorous personality to come out in my writing. For example, I titled my conflict paper "99 Problems and a Caterpillar is One." It is rare for me to want to write, but I did not want to stop adding to the sarcastic and dramatic caterpillar story. Usually, I keep my writing to myself and do not share it, but I put this analysis paper on display and made my family and friends read it. To put it simply, this writing resembles me, which is why I am most proud of it.
POSSIBLE REVISIONS
If I had more time, I would like to revise my inquiry paper. At the time of this process, I was rushed with other homework. My time managment skills are above average, but I still did not have as much time as I wanted to work on this paper. The broad topic of the paper is investing, so I would definitely like to perfect this paper since I find the topic interesting. Plus, this paper did not ever go through a revision process. I never had anyone else read it and I never looked for places to add more examples for clarity. Every paper should go through multiple revision opportunities before completion. Since the inquiry paper has never been revised, I feel like it is an incomplete paper and needs to be revised before it reaches perfection.
MY PROCESS
For every draft this semester, I followed a writing process that was new to me. Before this UWRT class, I did not have to write any papers for a year. I knew this long absence from writing would be hard to transition into, so I decided to add an outline to my original writing process. Normally, I would just jump into writing the paper, but I added an outlining stage to eliminate any potential writer's block. I began to notice that the outlining stage was crucial to my writing process because it helped me stay on topic and have examples ready to support my argument. I remember having weak arguments in previous writing classes, but outlining helped me solitify strong support for my arguments. Outlining has improved my writing, and I will never eliminate it from my writing process.
